Man Untd vs Arsenal Betting Tips

Red-hot Manchester United rate as a decent bet at 11/10 (bet365) to burst Arsenal's bubble and in doing so keep their feint title dreams alive when the two old foes square up in front of the Sky Cameras at Old Trafford on Sunday. For the neutral, this game between the bitter rivals could not have come at a better time. United are riding on a crest of a wave following eight successive victories, whilst Arsenal travel north in buoyant mood, having clinched a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in their history with a gutsy display against Juventus in midweek. In truth, you can't help but admire how both these sides have turned their respective seasons around. United have overcome early season turmoil to firstly land the League Cup and now pursue an outside chance of catching Chelsea for the title, whilst Arsenal looked destined for a mediocre season until Champions League progress seemingly turned their campaign on it's head. Given the class and swagger in which the Gunners have shown against the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus, I'm sure a few punters will be tempted by the 3/1 on offer about them on Sunday. However, taking nothing away from their European exploits, it's highly unlikely that Sunday's hosts will give them the kind of time and space to express themselves that has been afforded to them by Europe's 'supposed' elite clubs in recent weeks. Indeed, Sir Alex's troops are simply sizzling right now. Playing with the belief of old and winning games with the consummate ease we've become so familiar with over the past decade, United are back on track. Their wily manager might be playing down any chances of catching Chelsea, but eight Premiership wins on the spin means they have narrowed the gap to seven points with six to play, and with the leaders failing to impress of late, Fergie will not need reminding of the importance of Sundays' clash. For their part, Arsenal's need for the points is just as great with North-London rivals Spurs currently occupying fourth spot. But it's worth bearing in mind that they came unstuck at Blackburn the last time they had a big result away in Europe (1-0 win in Madrid) and if they are not on their mettle from the start here, United will surely capitalize. Much has been made of Ruud Van Nistlerooy's absence from the United stating line up recently, but whether it's the Flying Dutchman or the rejuvenated Louis Saha alongside Wayne Rooney on Sunday, the Red Devils will certainly test the Arsenal rearguard more than the hugely disappointing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet did on Wednesday night. Games between the two sides are never easy to call, but it's the Manchester club who have held sway recently (going seven league games unbeaten against the Gunners) and with Arsenal's away record amongst the worst of the sides in the top half of the table, the 11/10 about the hosts has to be worth an interest.
