The price on Pep Guardiola to take over at Barcelona had been very popular today at a number of books with a listing as high as 66/1 at one point from several bookmakers. That has now been bet down as low as an 8/1 listing with a couple of top outfits.

Speaking of Guardiola, should he intend to leave Manchester City, the bookmakers already have some interesting ideas about who is going to emerge as the next best-placed contender.
Mauriocio Pochettino is short priced right now to take over with a price tag trading around a 2/1 margin with a likelihood of dropping to 6/4 and holding there until we hear concrete news about a departure. You’ll find that Patrick Viera has emerged as a very interesting next choice and the bookmakers have him trading as one of the only other options within a single digit range with a listing sitting around a 5/1 margin at this stage.
Brendan Rodgers is a rather unlikely selection for a side like City but he’s priced around an 11/2 margin with a couple of bookmakers while Gian Perio Gasperini is available at an interesting 15/2 and that also seems a bit of an unlikely outcome to many.
Other notables include the likes of Laurent Blanc at 20/1 - he would definitely fit in at City but he is likely comfortable at his current club and unlikely to move. Antonio Conte and ZInedine Zidane both also trade at 20/1 price tags.
