The really interesting story this season has been Liverpool, who continue to occupy that fourth Champions League spot and remain within touching distance of the league title itself. The bookmakers put them at a 10.0 price tag to really prove that “this is their year.” 

It would be fully creditable to Brendan Rodgers and the passion of the team driving them forward. Ultimately, English football is better when Liverpool are doing well and you can bank on their fans to support them all the way. You also reckon more than a few of them would be willing to stake a bit of their hard-earned on them actually pushing it all the way this year. 

It’s also worth noting that each-way odds are available on a side to finish top 2 and you would have to reckon that the odds are playable to a side who is at double digits or over. Liverpool really do have every chance if they can keep up the momentum and get some good results against top four sides. There are going to be some really interesting six pointers as we get closer to the end of the season and you get the feeling that if things stay as tight as they are - there could be a few real classics later on in April or even May. 

Ultimately, nothing would beat the title not being decided until the very last day of the season - that’s something that would really get everybody excited - particularly if there was more than two teams in the mix for it.
