Manchester City Odds On For Premier League Title PT 3

Failing to get any decent signings in the summer and then bringing in his own backroom staff really added up to the negative mood at Old Trafford.

It really seems to be two steps forward and five steps backwards when United really need the results but they will be buoyed by some of their results in Europe.
If Moyes could pull off a talismanic signing (which looks unlikely given how badly they were let down during the summer transfer season) it may be able to improve things but he is rapidly running out of time and a failure to retain Champions League football would likely see him removed at the end of the season.
At the end of the day, many United fans will agree that managers like Hiddink, Capello or even Avram Grant may have been better appointments than Moyes - who appears to have only gotten the role because he is Scottish. Even his old Everton side continue to outperform United in the table and they will have their eyes firmly fixed on any of the top four dropping points so they could move into that final Champions League spot. It would truly be the ultimate embarrassment for Moyes if Everton made it into the Champions League and United missed out for the first time in recent memory.
Everton remain at 81.0 to secure the league title - which is impressive because they are usually something like 500/1 or 1000/1 at this point. Spurs are also loosely in the mix, hanging on to sixth spot and having just beaten Manchester United. They are available at an interesting price of 67.0.
