Manchester City v Norwich Preview
Norwich are under pressure now to start getting results because if they don't?..the gap at the bottom will begin to increase weekly and before they know it, they'll be on Death Row. Man City are strong favourites tonight. At Stan James we bet Man City??.8/13, The Draw?..5/2, Norwich??4/1. It could be anything this game. Kevin Keegan has made Man City into an "adventurous" side, always looking to score goals and attack. They are sweating on the fitness of Nicolas Anelka and Jon Macken?.two pretty crucial players?if they don't play, Norwich can at least take some comfort from that. But the defeat against a weakened Arsenal in midweek has rankled King Kev and he has warned his players publicly that he expects more. They will be up for it?you suspect. Norwich could be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shaun Wright Phillips is on fire at the moment and he'll relish the chance to attack a Norwich defence that is low on confidence. To score first he's a 7/1 chance. Whatever team they put out, they won't be shy. But Man City's attacking style could very well suit Norwich. They too have a penchant for attacking football and we could see a few goals tonight. Darren Huckerby can be frustrating but there is no doubt that the lad has a lot of skill and he consistently creates chances for himself. Huckerby to score anytime is a very tempting 2/1. He's an ex Man City player and these things have a habit of making headlines. So goals could be a feature tonight and the high score lines are all at tempting prices. The 2-2 draw is 16's?..3-2 to Man City is 25's, and 4-3?surely not?.is a 100/1. A less dramatic option would be over two goals at 4/5. An interesting twist though is the referee tonight?Steve Bennett. His average of 4.5 cards per game is the highest of the Premiership referees and a similar quota tonight will make the over 46 on our bookings market look very tempting indeed. It is a big price at 11/4. It could be a very entertaining game tonight with plenty of goalmouth action and we reckon Huckerby will shine.
