MANCHESTER CITY VS BLACKBURN PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

High-flying, big spending Sheikh Mansour’s boys take the field at Eastlands today to do battle with Sam Allardyce’s beleaguered Blackburn Rovers side. Rovers are out of the relegation mire and are going to have to battle hard to retain their mid-table position as the center of the Premiership is more competitive than usual this year. However, Blackburn are a mere 3 points out of the relegation zone. This match is not a must-win for them, but a point would be a considered a victory away from home.
Blue Square is confident in a Manchester City victory, and that’s a solid bet as their strikers are really starting to click. You’ll find them available at 4/9 while Rovers trade at a not-impossible 13/2. The draw is available at 16/5.
They only fancy two or three goals in this one and that’s about right, however, I certainly wouldn’t rule out a 2-2 draw if Blackburn play their best. I don’t see City being able to run up the score here as I can expect the Rovers defence to stay organized. City will likely take the victory, but a resilient performance from Blackburn isn’t out of the question.
Examining the correct score betting odds, you’ll find that 1-0 and 2-0 City are the favoured results at 11/2. 1-0 and 2-0 margins to Blackburn are 14/1 and a whopping 50/1, respectively. A 1-1 draw is listed at 8/1 while a 2-1 margin to City pays a mere 15/2. A 2-1 result to Blackburn is a massive 25/1.
If you’re going to be backing City, check out the half-time/full-time market at evens or, if you think it’s going to be a close one, why not back Draw/City at 16/5?
A 0-0 draw at half-time could be a solid wager and you’ll find that priced at 5/2. 1-0 to City at the half is the favourite outcome and it carries an 11/5 price.
In terms of outright goalscorer, Blackburn will be looking to Franco Di Santo and Benni McCarthy at 10/3 to score anytime. Jason Roberts trades at 7/2 while Nikola Kalinic can be backed at 7/2. Morten Gamst Pedersen trades at 11/2.
Carlos Tevez is listed at evens while Roque Santa Cruz trades at 11/10. Craig Bellamy is well-priced at 5/4 to score anytime (he knows a thing or two about Blackburn) and Robinho shares a 6/4 price with Benjani.
This match is expected to be Patrick Vieira’s first match for City and he is listed at 11/2 to score anytime. Vieira is 12/1 to receive the first card of the match. Craig Bellamy is 33/1 to be sent off.
This one is definitely City’s to win, but a dogged performance from Blackburn could turn the tide fairly easily. I think City could be in for a bit of a surprise if Blackburn stay organized. The Vieira factor could be a major issue if he starts. The whole plan could backfire.
