MANCHESTER CITY VS BOLTON LATEST BETTING TIPS
With a win by four goals, Manchester City could catapult themselves back into the 4th Champions League spot if they can run riot over beleaguered Bolton Wanderers tonight at Eastlands. The Citizens, led by the high-flying Carlos Tevez, are well-backed by punters from all over the world and many expect them to at least get the victory this evening.
Top UK bookmaker William Hill has priced Manchester City’s odds to win at 4/9 for the outright victory while Bolton carry a heavy 13/2 price. The draw pays 16/5, but that is going to be more of a loss for Man City if they can’t take all three points here. If they are going to run Liverpool to the edge, then they’re going to need to start picking up points more often and this looks like the place to start doing it.
Manchester City are priced at 21/20 to win both halves in the double result market. Draw/City pays out at 17/5 and that looks like not a bad bet, especially if City have trouble breaking Bolton down early on. I’m going to be keeping my eyes open and seeing if City can exploit the gaps in Bolton’s defence, who are generally quite weak on the flanks and can have trouble dealing with direct pace.
Emmanuel Adebayor is the favourite to score today and he carries an odds-on price of 10/11 to get on the scoresheet at anytime. He is 7/2 first or last and 9/2 to score 2 goals or more. He trades at 20/1 for a hat-trick. Carlos Tevez’s odds to score are trading at evens with a 4/1 price first or last. 2 goals or more pays out at 5/1 while a hat-trick is 25/1. Craig Bellamy is always a contender to score and with his pace I think he could be the lynchpin for Manchester City. He trades at 6/4 anytime and 11/2 first or last. He is 13/2 to score 2 or more and 40/1 for the hat-trick.
Stephen Ireland pays 10/3 anytime while Patrick Vieira’s odds are 6/1.
Bolton will be looking to Kevin Davies, who trades alongside Ivan Klasnic at 11/4 anytime and 8/1 first or last. Johan Elmander trades at 7/2 anytime while on-loan Arsenal player Jack Wilshere is listed at 11/2 anytime and 14/1 to score first or last.
If you think City are going to put together a big total, why not have a punt on the Manchester City (-3.0) handicap that pays out at 15/2?
