Manchester United Betting Update

Things are definitely in a wayward fashion over at Old Trafford right now with Liverpool having just snatched a draw when it looked like United might be able to pull off a morale-boosting victory in their clash on Sunday. The fact remains that Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is in the top three favourites to be the next manager to leave his post.

He certainly has a lot of the fans supporting him based on his performances during his playing days but the Norwegian appears to be tactically naive and struggling to be able to find the best from the squad that he has.

There are plenty of great players on the side but it remains very tactically imbalanced and the fact that they are relying on Marcus Rashford to lead the line isn’t really lining up with a lot of logic. As talented as the pacey England hitman can be, he needs support from additional players and, preferably, a big man to play the ball off of.

Rashford remains the outright favourite to score the most goals for United this season and you’ll find him trading at a 6/4 price to do so. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer can be backed at a 3/1 price tag to be the next English Premier League manager out the door.

The bookmakers do think that, despite United languishing in 12th place right now after their worst start in 30 years, they will finish in the top half this season and they are priced at a 1/9 listing to do. Should Manchester United finish in the bottom half of the table, you’ll be looking at a 5/1 payday.

The bookmakers have priced Manchester United at a ⅙ margin to finish the season without a single trophy.
