Manchester United Manager Betting Tips

It looks like things are starting to get extremely interesting over at Manchester United as we head into the Christmas fixtures. Louis Van Gaal has been under an increasing amount of pressure during the last couple of weeks as his Manchester United side have been consistently underwhelming. This would likely not have ever been enough to put his position into an untenable situation but there are certain forces at work in the English Premier League and one of those is none other than Jose Mourinho.

The situation at Chelsea spiralled out of control quite quickly and it emerged that Mourinho truly had lost the dressing room. Roman Abramovich didn’t hesitate to show Mourinho the door in previous years by a “mutual termination” and it was done again this time as well.

Jose has made it clear that he would prefer to remain in the English Premier League and there is only one club that is genuinely big enough to satisfy his outsized ego and that is Manchester United. If you have been following the betting markets over the last couple of weeks you will know quite clearly that as Mourinho’s odds for the next permanent manager job at Manchester United have slid into odds-on territory, Louis Van Gaal’s odds to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job have also dropped even more dramatically.

As it currently stands, you will find Louis Van Gaal spotted at a slim 1/5 margin to be the next Premier League manager to be shown the door or leave his post for any reason. Several books have gone as low as a 1/10 margin and that means he could likely not even see out the year.

Many believe that Van Gaal’s match-up this Boxing Day - away to Stoke City - could be a one-off for him and if he can win well then they may keep his around but a loss or even a draw to the Potters would likely seal Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford just in time for the new year.

The Special One is trading at a 4/7 margin to be named the next permanent Manchester United manager and you’ll note thet Ryan Giggs is considered the second favourite with bookmakers floating him at a 9/4 margin.
