MANCHESTER UNITED VS ARSENAL 2ND LEG BETTING TIPS

When was the last time you saw Manchester United listed at 2.76 for a win? Well, you're in for a heck of a money-making opportunity no matter who you're wagering on for the Champions League semi-final 2nd leg between Manchester United and Arsenal. Arsenal are listed at 2.84 while the draw pays 3.45. These are very lucrative odds and the layers on Betfair seem to be edging this one slightly in favour of United- a choice I am very much backing. United really should be 3-0 up at this point but an excellent (and very-much game-saving) performance from Manual Almunia has kept Arsene Wenger's men alive to see another day. Sir Alex Ferguson will be buoyed by the fact that Rio Ferdinand has been passed fit to play in this tie after suffering a bruised lung (which apparently isn't as bad as it sounds) in the previous match. Under 2.5 goals is listed at 1.82 while over 2.5 pays 2.2. In terms of correct score, the lowest-paying (and most likely) outcome is 1-1 @ 7.4. Arsenal need at least 2-0 or 3-1 to progress to the Champions League final. If Van Der Sar is on-form, I don't see Arsenal scoring any goals. Without Arshavin, they look a bit toothless, but Robin Van Persie will be back in action here and he will definitely be looking to get on the scoresheet. Arsenal are caught in a bit of a quandary here, knowing that a 0-0 scoreline isn't enough. Arsenal must score. They'll be looking to strike early from corners or set-pieces and if they can get on there in the 1st half it is absolute game-on. They can't be too adventurous in open play as Fergie will have his boys set up to pulverize Arsenal on the break. If Manchester United get an away goal, I think this one will be basically put to bed. If United score first, Arsenal need to throw caution to the wind and get forward in numbers- this could be their undoing. If you think Arsenal will get through this tie, don't bother betting on the match odds, back the To Qualify odds where you'll find Arsenal listed at 4.3. United are carrying very high odds if they can produce a clean-sheet and you'll get paid out at 3.4 if they can pull it off. The most likely goalscorers are Cristiano Ronaldo at 8.0 (I'm quite sure he'll be deployed alongside Rooney as an out-an-out striker), Van Persie at 8.2, Offsidebayor at 8.8 and Wazza at 9.2. Ji-Sung Park struck on the weekend and Fergie likes him for these types of games. I'd back him to score first at 27.0. PREDICTION1-1 draw sees Manchester United through, but this one will be tight. Samir Nasri will score as will Cristiano Ronaldo.
