MANCHESTER UNITED VS BAYERN MUNICH 2ND LEG CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LATEST ODDS AND TIPS

It’s crunch-time for Sir Alex Ferguson & Co. and they will have to get the job done against high-flying Bayern Munich without the services of Wayne Rooney. They trail 2-1 on aggregate, but still have that ever-important away goal and if they can keep Bayern off the scoresheet at Old Trafford then they should be able to pull this one off. I don’t see United being shut out at home and I can definitely get behind a rollicking 2nd half performance- which I think is how things are going to pan out today.

Top UK bookmaker William Hill have priced United as the odds-on favourites to win today’s fixture and you’ll find them available at a 4/5 price. The draw pays 5/2 (that wouldn’t be enough for United) and Bayern are trading at 7/2.
I have a feeling that Bayern will deploy a more tactical system looking to stifle United and then counter down the wings. Arjen Robben is back and him and Ribery on the flanks mean that United need to step up and play with lots of precision. You won’t see Patrice Evra getting forward as much and I have a feeling that United will likely do a lot of movement through the middle of the park and we may see long-ball tactics deployed- especially early in the match.
The favoured correct score outcome looks to be the 1-1 draw at 6/1, which would send Bayern through to the next round. However, United 1-0 is just behind at 13/2 while a 2-1 result for the Red Devils (which would force extra time) rewards at 7/1. United to win 2-0 pays out at 15/2. Bayern are 10/1 to win the match 1-0 and 11/1 to win by a 2-1 margin.
The match is 14/1 to go to penalties.
United are 17/10 to take both legs of the half-time/full-time result while draw/United pays out at 15/4. Bayern Munich/Manchester United is a very solid 25/1.
If you think that United may run riot here (akin to the Roma performance a few years back- they were down on aggregate there too) then you should definitely back them on the handicap. United (-1.0) pays a mere 2/1, but United (-2.0) rewards at a tidy 11/2. United (-3.0) is a hefty 14/1 price.
I have a feeling that we could see a vintage display from Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson hasn’t gotten to this point in his career by losing big matches and they don’t really get much bigger than this- at least in early April. The wildcard here may be the possible return of Owen Hargreaves. In the absence of their talisman Wayne Rooney, United need players to step up, and I reckon that they’ll do so.
