MANCHESTER UNITED VS CSKA MOSCOW CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

Well, first and foremost you have to say congratulations to Colleen Rooney for giving birth to future England International Kai Wayne Rooney today. Although the nation can bank on another first-rate striker coming through the ranks in about 16 years or so, we have the short-term issue of Wayne Rooney's absence from the Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow Champions League fixture tomorrow.
Rooney scored at the weekend against Blackburn, scoring a beautiful first-time goal. United are strong favourites on Betfair at the moment with a price trading at around 1.45 and the Russian side listed at a lengthy 11.0. The draw pays 4.7, but United will be facing off at Old Trafford and you know that always tilts the odds even further in their favour.
The absence of Rooney likely means that Michael Owen will get the start and he's really been showing some signs of his old quality and he looks to just need a good run of games to get back in form. Dimitar Berbatov continues to confound and infuriate, but he is starting to score goals and that's an irrefutable argument for a striker. 1-0 and 2-0 to United are both trading at around 7.0 right now and I don't really see this one being a high-scoring affair.
Wes Brown and Jonny Evans look set to start things off at the back again, and I actually think that their partnership could turn into one of the stories of the season with Vidic on and off the treatment table and Rio Ferdinand is looking past it, quite frankly.
One place I am willing to make a bit of a push is on the half-time/full-time market with United to win both halves at 2.14. I expect this to creep up a bit, so I may wait for closer to kick-off before I back that option.
Michael Owen to score in a 1-0 victory pays out at 25.0 in the Betfair scorecast market.
