While the Premier League season is more or less wrapped up at this point for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men there is definitely still plenty of pride on the line as they face off against Manchester City in this massive Monday fixture. United are on the cusp of going a massive eighteen points clear at the top of the Premier League table. There is a lot to like about this match-up and you can expect plenty of action on all sides of the pitch.

United go into this one as the distinct favourites to get the result and the bookmakers have them priced out at a relatively tempting 13/10 price tag while City are trading at a 21/10 listing.
The draw trades at 23/10 and many may initially expect that to be a decent wager but with neither side still having anything to play for this season, you reckon that both will be going for the outright win here.
It goes without saying that Robin Van Persie is the major factor in this one and that’s why the bookmakers have him priced at a 6/5 listing to grab a goal at any point in the match. William Hill have him trading at a solid 7/2 to grab a goal and United to win.
Wayne Rooney knows a thing or two about scoring tidy goals against Manchester City and you’ll find him priced at 5/4 just ahead of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, who are at 15/8 and 9/4, respectively.
Another United player to keep your eye on is Tom Cleverley, who looks a solid wager at 6/1 if he gets the start in midfield, particularly alongside Michael Carrick, who affords Cleverley the ability to push forward and arrive late in danger areas.
Carlos Tevez will have his eye on grabbing a goal against United here and he trades at the same price as Sergio Aguero to strike at any point. Both can be backed at 2/1. You also reckon that Samir Nasri will be a solid wager at 11/2 and he’ll be looking to make up for his crucial error during the last derby encounter between these two.
