MANCHESTER UNITED VS MLS ALL-STARS PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS
Considering the fact that Manchester United slipped up against Kansas City Wizards the other day, it’s actually turned out to be pretty good for those looking to back United as you can get some significantly better prices in the upcoming fixture against Major League Soccer All-Stars.
Personally, I think this is going to be the most hard-fought fixture of United’s tour as I think the American League players will be looking to pull off a victory and score MLS some bragging rights until next summer. Landon Donovan will be the one to watch but I also think that Juan Pablo Angel is going to be able to put his Premier League experience to good use here.
The odds for Manchester United to beat MLS All-Stars are priced at 8/15 pre-match, while the MLS side are paying out an enticing 4/1 price tag. I think a lot of neutrals or ABU football fans will be locking in some hefty bets at those odds. The draw is 13/5 and that’s not a bad wager either.
There aren’t many betting markets out for this one just yet but I’ll be expecting a full slate tomorrow. To tide you over, popular UK bookmaker William Hill has listed a complete slate of goalscorer betting odds and, let’s face it, those are the most interesting ones to look at any way.
Dimitar Berbatov is priced at even money to score anytime and that makes him the preferred goalscorer for this fixture. He’s at 4/1 to score first or last and 9/2 to grab two or more. He’s 25/1 to nab a very high-profile hat-trick.
The big story is that the debut of Javier Hernandez aka Chicharito has been bumped up and he’s available at a 6/5 price to score anytime. He’s 9/2 first or last and 5/1 to grab two or more. I have a feeling that he could be the key variable here. He’s at 25/1 to grab a hat-trick as well. He seems to be a player who thrives on the big stage and if he gets the start I’ll be backing him to score at least one.
Gabriel Obertan is priced at 11/4 anytime and he’s been going from strength to strength on this tour. Ryan Giggs is listed at 10/3 anytime while Paul Scholes is sitting at 4/1.
For the MLS All-Stars, they’ve got Edson Buddle and Juan Pablo Angel as the favoured goalscorers each carrying an 11/4 price anytime and an 8/1 listing to score first or last. Sebastien Le Toux and Landon Donovan are both available at 7/2 while Brian Ching is at 4/1. Dwayne De Rosario is priced at 5/1 and he could be a dangerous one here if he gets the start.
We’ll be back with more markets and betting predictions once they become available!
