MANCHESTER UNITED VS WIGAN ATHLETIC LATEST PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

United are looking to narrow the gap here again today and they've got a very emphatic record against their opponents- not losing to them in ten matches with a combined thirty goals scored in those victories. Wigan are a bit of a shaky side who have proven that, on their day, they can match wits with the best of them. This one could be a bit of a scare similar to the Hull City match before Rooney's precision passing made all the difference. Personally, I expect United to hit the field with a bit more swagger than they've shown recently.
Other victories yesterday and the day before proved that things are certainly different in the Premiership this time around and it looks like we have competition for every single place in the top 10. This is a welcome change to the style of play we would see in 2004 and 2005. Bring it on, I say.
Blue Square have listed Manchester United as significant favourites to win, with a 2/9 price for the victory at Old Trafford. The draw pays a hefty 9/2 (that's high for a draw) and Wigan are a titanic 14/1 for what would be a very important loss for United.
Wayne Rooney is in splendid form this season and looks to be able to answer nearly every question asked of him at the moment. You'll find Wayne Rooney's odds to score anytime listed at 4/5 with first or last goalscorer available at 11/4. Dimitar Berbatov was on the scoresheet last time out (thanks to Rooney's incredible vision setting up the simplest of finishes) and he is a streaky player who tends to score in successive matches. He is 9/2 first or last and 5/4 to score at any time.
If Darron Gibson gets a start today, I'll be backing him to score one of his long-range screamers at a 3/1 price anytime. Gibson to score and United to win on a double pays 7/2. If he's in the starting line-up that's not a bad bet. The boy likes to take his chances.
Wigan will be looking to Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland to get the goals in and they're listed at 3/1 and 4/1, respectively.
Correct score betting is tilted towards 2-0 to United at a slim 5/1 price. 1-0 trades at 6/1 while 2-1 is 15/2 and 3-0 trades at 7/1. United to win both halves trades at 4/7 while draw/United pays out at 10/3.
I think United should pull this one off either 3-0 or 3-1. If things get off to a good clip early on, you may fancy an in-play wager on a 5-0 win. Rooney and Berbatov to score. Keep your eye for Darron Gibson's name on the team sheet.
