Manchester United vs Wolves December 15th Premier League Betting Tips

We’ve just finished an exciting weekend of Premiership fixtures and we’ve already got a full slate of them kicking off tomorrow as the Christmas football season is now upon us. The biggest match of the day tomorrow is definitely United taking on Wolves at home. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men lost a very important match against Aston Villa on Saturday, which would have seen them draw even on points with Chelsea at the top of the table. The Blues were held to a draw that day and they appear to be in their dodgiest form of the season at the moment.
This is a must-win for United and you’ll find them listed at a slim 1/6 to take the victory with top bookmaker Blue Square. The draw pays out at 11/2 while Wolves are a massive 16/1 to get the victory at Old Trafford- something they were able to do a few years ago in their last Premiership stint.
I don’t see Sir Alex deploying some type of youth side for this one, as 3 massive Premier League points are available and a win would put the pressure on Chelsea for their match against Pompey tomorrow. Wayne Rooney should have had at least one goal in the last fixture so I think he’s due to get on the scoresheet here if he gets a start. I’m also expecting to see Gabriel Obertan hit the field and he is looking more impressive with each performance. Finally, United have an impact substitute who can come on and turn a game (case in point: Wolfsburg).
The correct score calls are pretty slim here with a 3-0 victory at 6/1 and even a 4-0 drubbing only paying out at 10/1. United are 4/9 to win both halves and that’s a solid price in my book. I don’t think Wolves can keep United off the score sheet for longer than 45 minutes and their strikers will be goal-hungry after the weekend’s disappointments.
Wayne Rooney is 5/6 to score at anytime with Obertan trading at an enticing 11/4. If he gets a full game, I think he might be able to get on the scoresheet. Darron Gibson may factor into the equation and he’s listed at 3/1.
My tip is United 3-0 with a goal from Rooney, Obertan and Gibson should they all get the start. Your scorecast odds would be Rooney/3-0 @ 20/1, Obertan/3-0 @ 50/1 and Gibson/3-0 @ 55/1.
