MANNY PACQUIAO VS MIGUEL COTTO LATEST ODDS AND TIPS

We are now less than a week away from what could very well be the year's most anticipated boxing match with Manny Pacquiao facing off against Miguel Cotto for the WBO Welterweight Championship. Pacquiao has long been the favourite for this fight and his lead looks to be reflected in the odds already. He is trading at BetFred with a price of 2/5 on the outright victory, a price which has shortened in the past several weeks. Cotto is listed at around 15/8 for a victory by any means while the draw (which never happens ever at this level) can be backed at 25/1. Since the announcement of this fight, pundits and bookmakers alike have more or less agreed that this fight will not go the distance. We will have a KO or TKO victor and for this match, with these two fighters, to go a full twelve rounds would be absolutely incredible. I don't think there's any chance we see every round in the fight. This is already reflected in the odds with a Pacquiao victory by KO, TKO or DQ listed at an odds-on price of 5/6. A Cotto victory by KO, TKO or DQ pays out at a solid 11/4 while Pacquiao by decision or technical decision is listed at 7/2. Cotto via decision is a whopping 6/1. Personally, I think if this fight actually does go the distance, it will be Cotto's fight. Pacquiao is going to have to put in a pretty crappy performance to not knock Cotto out. The round betting shows some clues for where the fight will end. Manny Pacquiao's favoured odds are between round 6 and round 9 where the price is listed at 16/1. He is 20/1 in rounds 3, 4 and 10 while 25/1 in rounds 2, 11 and 12. He is 33/1 to score a shock first-round victory. Cotto's odds are at their lowest in rounds 5-8 where he is listed at 20/1. He is 25/1 in rounds 3, 4 and 9 while 33/1 in rounds 1, 2, 10, 11 and 12. I don't expect this fight to go beyond the 9th round and I fancy Pacquiao to strike in the 3rd round, the 6th round and round 7.
