MARIUSZ PUDZIANOWSKI VS TIM SYLVIA LATEST ODDS AND BETTING PREDICTIONS

The odds are more or less holding where they were previously today although market volume appears to be increasing steadily as we get closer to tonights big Pudzianowski vs Sylvia fight in Worcester Massachusetts. Various bookmakers are all pricing Sylvia as the clear betting favourite in this contest and it looks like Super Mario has his work cut out for him here.

I think that he'll have learned a lot since his previous bout and, although I'm not sure how much difference there will be between now and two weeks ago, I think his strategy will likely to be to end the fight as quickly as possible. Look for Pudzianowski to come flying out of the gate and attempt to KO or TKO Sylvia within the first few minutes
Tim Sylvia has already stated that he is going to try to avoid getting hit by Pudzianowski and I think that adopting an excessively defensive strategy early on, he could be shooting himself in the foot. I think he needs to know he's going to take hits early on, but if he can last the first few minutes- the momentum will likely shift in his direction.
Currently, Betfair shows Mariusz Pudzianowski's odds at 2.68 to win the fight by any method (meaning a €100 bet pays out at €268) while Tim Sylvia's odds to win trade at 1.53. These are fairly close to where they were this morning, but I can see the last hour before the fight seeing some very wild swings, so it makes sense to check back with Betfair to see where the prices settle down.
Popular continental bookmaker Bwin has priced Mariusz Pudzianowski at a 2.25 price to win the fight with Tim Sylvia listed at a 1.57 margin.
Personally, I think if this goes past the first round then Sylvia is the distinct favourite. Pudzianowski has plenty of fans though and he will be jazzed for his American debut and won't want to start with a loss in a high-profile fight. I think he'll go hunting for the early victory, having learned his lesson the last time out.
