Master Minded Expected to Dominate 2009 Victor Chandler Chase
One of the best National Hunt races of the season is set to happen this Saturday at Ascot Racecourse as some of the best jumps horses in the country are expected to compete for the coveted Victor Chandler Chase. CLICK HERE FOR YOURAcross the board right now, Master Minded is the out-and-out favourite with every single major bookmaker. You'll see odds generally ranging from ¼ or 2/7 and I really don't see those odds lengthening over the next week or so, barring a late entry from a top-class horse or some type of tricky surface conditions throwing a bit of a monkey wrench into the Paul Nicholls camps plans. Master Minded is famous for being the youngest horse since 1959 to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, ousting past winner Voy Por Ustedes by an incredible 19 lengths. While Master Minded hasn't ridden since April of 2007, I expect him to be in top form and brimming with confidence as his team begins the preparations for this year's running of the 2009 Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham- another race that Master Mind also leads the running for. Petit Robin and Or Noir de Somoza are your 2nd and 3rd place favourites with a trifecta of Master Minded, Petit Robin and Or Noir de Somoza the likeliest finish. After Somoza, the odds on every horse range from 25/1 to 66/1 so I'm going to back this trifecta and hope to be counting out my cash on Sunday.
