MIAMI HEAT MASSIVE FAVOURITES FOR 2010/11 NBA TITLE AFTER LEBRON JAMES SIGNING

We've been sticking with our coverage of the Decision today and the Betfair odds on the Miami Heat are already beginning to trend downwards as the market volume has already doubled. It's rare for a set of odds to be this complete on the European-facing betting exchange this far in advance of the competition actually starting.

The Miami Heat are currently priced at a very slim 2.95 payout if they win the 2010/11 NBA Championship. That's extremely short and I think we'll see all of these prices inflate by about 25% in the build-up to the season opener.
Lebron James signing had pushed Miami's price down significantly over the past 24 hours and it looks as though the European betting markets were correct once again. Miami's price is shifting around but they have been spotted as short as 2.9.
Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers are available at a 4.7 price and holding fairly steady there. The Lakers are a clear second favourite and it's going to be very interesting to see how these two teams fare over the course of the season as I think many observers may even look at this year as a mini-league between these two.
The Chicago Bulls trade at 7.0 with the Orlando Magic available at an 8.2 price tag. The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be trending upwards from their 9.0 price once the volume starts to tick up. It will be interesting to see what happens with the cap space available in Cleveland. The post-Lebron era at that team will be another key subplot to this season.
The New York Knicks odds are priced at 10.0.
All of the teams odds are moving very quickly and we should see the market volume increase over the next 24 hours. Things are just getting started in the 2010/11 NBA Championship betting markets and I think even Miami fans can look forward to a tidy price when we get closer to the opening tip-off.
