MILAN VS GENOA BETTING TIPS FOR DAVID BECKHAM’S RETURN
David Beckham reunites with his AC Milan teammates for another five month cameo during the winter break for the MLS. Sir Becks is looking to regain his match fitness and get plenty of top-quality football under his belt to bolster his selection odds for South Africa 2010. I’ve always been of the opinion that Becks playing on a continental side adds a bit more dynamism to his game and makes him even more of a cultured midfielder.
While all of us are anxiously awaiting his Champions League visit to Old Trafford, the first order of business is to dispose of Genoa today in Serie A competition. Milan are considered strong favourites for this one with popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes offering up a 1.57 price for Milan to win outright. Genoa is listed at a lengthy 6.0 while the draw pays out at 3.75.
They bookmakers don’t expect a high-flying swashbuckling type of match here with 1-0 and 2-0 Milan being the best-priced correct score selections at 6.0 apiece. A 1-1 draw pays 6.5 while a 3-0 result in Milan’s favour garners a 9.0 listing. Milan are 2.1 to win both halves while draw/Milan pays out at 4.5.
David Beckham is listed at 11.0 to score first with Alexandre Pato being the favoured first goalscorer at 5.0. Pippo Inzaghi trades alongside Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Marco Borriello at 6.0 while Ronaldinho is in the frame at 7.0. Beckham linking up with Ronaldinho will be an interesting sight and one of the reasons why I am tuning into this match.
Speaking of tuning in, Ladbrokes TV is offering up free live streaming of the Milan vs Genoa fixture and that’s a great feature for British fans as you won’t have to bother with a bunch of dodgy websites if you can’t get it on television.
My scorecast tip for tonight is either Alexandre Pato/Milan 2-0 at 17.0 or David Beckham/Milan 3-0 at 61.0.
