MLS ALL-STARS VS MANCHESTER UNITED FRIENDLY MATCH LATEST ODDS

As promised we’ve now got a full slate of betting odds for the widely-anticipated fixture that pits Manchester United against the Major League Soccer All-Stars in Houston today. I think that this is easily United’s most difficult match of their North American tour and, after losing a fixture against Kansas City, Sir Alex Ferguson will be demanding a much better performance from the Red Devils.

Chicharito aka Javier Hernandez is the big story here and I reckon there will be a lot of bets coming in tonight on him to score on his first fixture in a Manchester United jersey. You can grab a 6/5 price on him anytime and he’s listed at 9/2 to score first or last. He’s priced at 5/1 to get 2 or more and 25/1 to grab a famous hat-trick.
Dimitar Berbatov is Manchester United’s favourite goalscorer with an even-money price and 4/1 odds to score first or last. He’s 9/2 to grab two or more and 25/1 to hit a hat-trick. I think that the link-up between Berbatov and Hernandez will be very interesting to watch and I think it will make a big difference to have a pacey player with a low centre of gravity to play off the shoulder while Berbatov drops in behind and looks to dictate play a bit more. The Bulgarian behind the Mexican looks like it could pay serious dividends.
In regards to the outright betting odds, United are priced at 8/15 to win the match while the MLS All-Stars are trading at 4/1. I think that’s a great price on the MLS side and anybody looking to bet against United would do well to take those odds. The draw is available at 13/5.
The favoured correct score looks to be a 1-1 draw at a 13/2 price while a 1-0 result to United pays 15/2. A 2-1 victory is well-priced at 7/1 and 2-0 pays out at 17/2. Should the MLS All-Stars win the match, they are 11/1 to win 1-0 and 2-1. If you think this one will turn into a goal fest, a 4-3 victory for MLS pays out at 100/1 while 4-3 to United is a massive 66/1. There is a fair amount of offensive firepower here and the MLS players will be looking to put on a real show.
Edson Buddle is listed at 11/4 anytime, alongside Juan Pablo Angel. Landon Donovan’s odds to score against Manchester United are priced at 7/2 anytime and 10/1 first or last. Sebastien Le Toux can be backed at an identical price.
I think we’re going to see a very open fixture today and I firmly expect the live betting to be the way to go on this one as there are simply so many different permutations, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see a high-scoring affair. Over 3.5 goals is trading at 13/8 while over 4.5 is listed at 15/4.
