NEXT ASTON VILLA MANAGER BETTING ODDS SHOW ERIKSSON AND MACDONALD FAVOURED

Sven Goran Eriksson is now looking to like he may wind up back in the English Premier League as Bob Bradley looks to miss out on the Aston Villa managers job. This has been an absolutely odd betting market and the shortest price on the board is hovering between caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald and the former England manager with both men listed between 5.5 and 6.0. 
Everton's David Moyes has emerged as a surprisingly strong contender and you can back him at 6.6, this is especially interesting considered Everton's dismal start to the 2010/11 Premier League season. 
At one point, American manager Bob Bradley was a very strong contender for the post- trading as the favourite for nearly a week after Martin O'Neill's shock departure. Currently, he's risen to as high as 30.0 with punters retreating quickly. 
Mark Hughes can be backed at a 14.0 listing and, having just taken over the Fulham position, this makes him an unlikely candidate as Villa would likely have to pay an arm and a leg to the Cottagers to secure Sparky's services. 
Alan Curbishley and Gerard Houllier are both confirmed outside bets, with the two men identically-priced at 21.0. 
The Aston Villa brass was quoted this weekend stating that they want an experienced manager to take over, and that sounds about right as I don't think this is the right time to take a risky outside bet... Diego Maradona anyone? 
The Argentinian sideshow has been priced at 120.0, but was trading as short as 30.0 a week or so back. 
It doesn't look as though Villa will have a manager in place for when the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday evening, so it looks as though Kevin MacDonald may remain on as the Aston Villa manager
