NEXT CELTIC MANAGER BETTING ROBERTO MARTINEZ EMERGING FAVOURITE
We've had plenty of movement in many different directions in the Betfair market for next Celtic Manager. Tony Mowbray has now taken several steps back from the favourite position he held just last week. He is currently 6.4 and looks set to stay at West Brom. Owen Coyle, who got Burnley into the Premier League, has been tipped for this position as well but the 4.7 odds aren't solid enough for me. He'll be looking forward to the Premier League football that him and his team earned, so I don't see him departing for Celtic anytime soon. Slaven Bilic has taken a massive jump in price and is now listed at 27.0 as it looks increasingly unlikely that he will actually take the Celtic gig. David O'Leary has dropped in price and is now available at 18.5.Swansea's Roberto Martinez is now the favourite to take over the vacant position and he has been installed as the 3.45 favourite to be named next Celtic Manager. He played in Scotland during the 2001-2 season for Motherwell before departing for Walsall. He was also an important part of the Wigan Athletic side that rocketed up the football league and are now a firmly-established Premier League side. The BBC is reporting that Swansea has confirmed they have been approached by Celtic, so it looks like a great time to get in there and back Robert Martinez as next Celtic Manager. If his club is confirming the approach, I would say there is little to deter him from taking the job- he gets a higher profile and higher pay and will also get to steer Celtic into Europe. I think Martinez will see this as an excellent opportunity to take a big step up in management and I can see him doing quite well. Get in there and back Roberto Martinez as next Celtic manager while you still can!
