Currently, all signs are pointing away from Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, who had been the previous favourite and now the punters look to be piling on top of Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand. Yes, the Rio Ferdinand who was banned for drugs for like 9 months a few years back. 
You'll find Rio Ferdinand priced at ODDS-ON at 1.97 on Betfair. That's a large drop from his price yesterday. Wayne Rooney continues to hold steady at his 6.0 price, up from his low of 3.0 earlier in the week. Steven Gerrard, who was trading in the mid 2's yesterday is now available at around 6.8. His uninspired performances lately for England are likely reason why he won't be taking over the captaincy. 
What an incredible state of affairs, how one man can fall so far in one week. Apparently, the Sun newspaper has nearly a dozen other women all ready to come forward claiming affairs with John Terry. It now appears as though the Chelsea man is on the way out, he is the longest-priced selection in the market now. David Beckham and Gareth Barry both trade at 18.0 while Frank Lampard can be backed at 8.4.
