NEXT FULHAM MANAGER ODDS SHOW BOB BRADLEY FAVOURITE ONCE AGAIN
After this weekend's disastrous result for Aston Villa, a thorough 6-0 demolition at the hands of newly-promoted Newcastle, the betting markets reignited for who's going to be the next Fulham manager.
Interim manager Kevin MacDonald had looked to have gotten the nod of confidence from Villa owner Randy Lerner, but that shock result quickly blew his chances of staying on right out of the water.
MacDonald had been down to below odds-on to be named the permanent Aston Villa manager, but he is now priced at around 6.8 to retain the position.
The big story on both sides of the Atlantic is the possible appointment of American National Team manager Bob Bradley as Villa manager. You can now back him at a 3.75 and that's a sharply shorter price than he was trading at on Friday.
Bradley looks to be getting most of the Betfair volume as well.
Sven Goran Eriksson remains in the hunt for this one, and there was rumours circulating a week or two ago that Eriksson had significantly lowered his salary demands in order to usher himself back into the English Premier League. Personally, I think his 7.2 odds are a bit too short.
Jurgen Klinsmann's odds to wind up at Villa are trading at a 13.0 price while Ronald Koeman is available at 24.0.
Diego Maradona and his travelling circus sideshow were linked with the Villa job at one point, though it would be more accurate to say that he linked himself to the post. Punters don't seem confident in a miracle for the English press happening anytime soon, with Maradona's odds listed at 130.0.
