NEXT LIVERPOOL MANAGER ODDS STILL FAVOUR ROY HODGSON OVER KENNY DALGLISH
The odds for the Next Liverpool manager have fluctuated a bit over the past few days but things have gotten to the point where this is nothing but a two-horse race. It's getting more interesting by the way, in my opinion, and I actually think that we're a ways off from a proper resolution in this one.
The feeling that I get is that Liverpool fans aren't particularly enamoured with Roy Hodgson and that he would be considered an underwhelming signature. I believe somebody has used the term "ale house football" on here to describe Hodgson's tactics and I actually feel as though that's not too far off.
Kenny Dalglish is the sort of inspiring signing that Liverpool need right now when morale is actually fairly low. There are still question marks over top of Steven Gerrard and, especially, Fernando Torres about whether they will leave Liverpool this summer.
On Betfair, they've got Hodgson bid back up to 2.52, this is a bit higher from the 2.1 he was trading at when things were looking like they might be resolved quickly.
Kenny Dalglish's odds to be next Liverpool manager are trading at around 3.25 and that's a bit off from the 2.5 price he was trading at last week when he nearly drew even with Hodgson after it was revealed that he pulled out of the selection committee.
One to keep your eye on though is Manuel Pellegrini who has shortened in price dramatically over the past few days. He now trades at 9.0 and we haven't had anybody in this market below 10.0 since Martin O'Neill was pretty much ruled out of things.
It looks like things are about to get a lot more interesting in the betting for the Next Liverpool Manager
