Next Manager Summer Betting Odds PT 2

One of the most genuinely competitive markets that you’ll find next manager betting looks to be the race to become the next Manchester City manager with Manuel Pelligrini now finding himself under more pressure than he probably wants. City put in a solid season but they failed to win anything and that just doesn’t look to be good enough for a team spending that much money and boasting that many global superstars - including Sergio Aguero the Premier League golden boot winner.

The fact that Real Madrid sacked Ancelotti might hasten things here and he is the betting choice to be named as the next permanent Manchester City manager. Some bookmakers have him down as low as evens while others float his price at a 7/4 margin. Pep Guardiola is considered to be the second favourite but he doesn’t appear to be leaving Bayern Munich any time soon so it looks like Ancelotti is your best shot here.

It’s probably worth noting, somewhat derisively that Brendan Rodgers is in the mix here at a hefty 25/1.

Newcastle were able to just hang on to their Premier League status on the final day and John Carver is unlikely to be managing them in a full-time capacity next year considering the relatively horrendous job he did managing the Magpies. Survival or no survival it simply wasn’t good enough and that’s why we’ve got Steve McLaren trading as low as a 1/5 margin for the job while Carver sits at a lengthy 5/1.

Dick Advocaat is expected to remain at Sunderland after helping to keep them in the Premier League and there is a decent price on him as well with a 4/6 margin looking pretty decent all around. Sam Allardyce, who just left West Ham is the second favourite and you don’t really see that being a really popular selection do you? You’ll find Big Sam as low as 15/8.

And, speaking of the devil, West Ham United look to be set to bring back fan-favourite Slaven Bilic to replace Sam Allardyce and the former West Ham star trades as low as 8/11 for the job with Robert Di Matteo at 3/1 and David Moyes as high as 10/1.
