We have plenty of interesting options emerging at Old Trafford at the moment as the inevitable departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally come upon us. It probably isn’t a moment too soon for the Red Devils as they have consistently been sub-par in the matches where it mattered most this season.

A series of poor results against rival clubs wasn’t enough to unseat the Norwegian but a 4-1 drubbing by 17th placed Watford appeared to be the stroke that broke the camel’s back.

The roles will be quite different as he doesn’t manage every aspect of the club like managers do in the UK. Pochettino instead operates as more of a first-team coach at PSG. He is said to be keen to get back to the Premier League and would likely accept the offer if presented with the opportunity. 

You’ll find Ernesto Valverde trading around a 3/1 price tag with several top bookmakers, making him the clear second favourite ahead of Michael Carrick, himself, who trades at a 5/1 listing with most books but can be spotted as high as 8/1. 

Brendan Rodgers had been considered in the mix but the Liverpool connection likely scuppers that and he’s priced as high as 12/1. Laurent Blanc is anywhere from 18/1 to 33/1 while former Manchester United talisman Sir Alex Ferguson is trading around a 50/1 price that some might consider an interesting outside option.
