One of the best wild card wagers right now is which manager in the English Premier League is going to leave his post during the first few weeks and months.

It looks as though there aren’t too many managers who are facing any form of overt pressure at the start of the season, but you certainly get the feeling that if somebody with relatively high expectations placed on him winds up dropping more points than necessary than their club will likely begin looking for a fresh start.
At the time of this writing it looks like Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is likely to be the first manager out the door if the betting odds are to be believed. The bookmakers have him trading as the outright favourite in every market with a 4/1 or 6/1 price available.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the season opens up for Solksjaer since United face off against a very tough opponent in Chelsea in their first match up and if they are unable to get the victory at Old Trafford then the pressure will already be on. If United wind up losing badly then things will probably ramp up even quicker for the Norwegian.
Graham Potter is the next shortest priced contender to be the first manager out the door in the English Premier League and he’s priced around a 7/1 or 8/1 listing. Roy Hodgson is an 8/1 shot or a 10/1, depending on whom you’re wagering with.
Chris Wilder can be backed anywhere between 12/1 and 14/1 while Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is available around a 14/1 margin and that is definitely one to watch.
