Next Tottenham Manager Betting PT 2

It appears as though the betting public seem to be convinced that the Tottenham vacancy could usher in the dramatic return of Jose Mourinho to the English Premier League and the Special One has been off since being ousted by Manchester United last year. His Norwegian successor started brightly but has cooled off recently and this rivalry could be one that will heat up over the coming months if Mourinho does, in fact, take over at Spurs.

The betting markets have Mourinho priced anywhere between a ⅓ and ⅔ margin to take over at Spurs and this indicates a lot of confidence but it is hardly a foregone conclusion at this point. Betting markets on things like this can swing wildly based on a tweet or a news story from the correct source. 

If it’s not Mourinho (and the value is definitely not with him for your betting dollar) you’ll find that Carlo Ancelotti is the second favourite here and he’s trading around a 3/1 margin which makes him a very plausible and reasonable selection for the Spurs job. 

Mourinho will definitely bring a circus of ego and attention to the position so you have to fancy that managers may prefer a safer option.

Massimiliano Allegri is trading as the third choice with a price of around 12/1 with several top bookmakers. Brendan Rodgers trades anywhere between 11/1 and 16/1.
