NFL Update - all to play-off for in AFC
The AFC divisional winners have all now been decided leaving Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Kansas City fighting it out for the final two wild-card spots. The Chargers and Steelers are tied at 9-5, Jacksonville is 10-4. If the season were to finish now, the Jaguars would make the playoffs as the first wild-card entry, and Pittsburgh the second courtesy of their win over San Diego earlier in the season. The Steelers may look good for the number six seed right now; until that is we look at the scenario of Jags, Steelers, Chargers all finishing at 11-5. The new order according to NFL rules would see San Diego leap into the number five seed spot ahead of Jacksonville at number six seed.Of course for that to have any chance of happening, the Chargers must win in Kansas on Saturday afternoon - the Chiefs of course still have an outside chance of postseason, and have an awesome record in December over the past few seasons. That ought not to face the Chargers after their historic victory in Indianapolis last Sunday. The nightmare scenario for Pittsburgh is San Diego and Jacksonville win this weekend. That would leave the Chargers with a final home game against Denver, who should have the number two seed wrapped up by the final week. The Jags would then face the tricky decision of taking on divisional rivals Tennessee in a game with little meaning other than determine the final seed position. The number five seed are likely to play in New England, the number six seed in Cincinnati. Any team would surely fancy their chances of beating the inexperienced Bengals in the play-offs over serial Super Bowl winners Patriots.Looking at the AFC winner odds, and Indianapolis Colts are the clear odds-on favourites despite losing to the Chargers.Bodog currently has a free $50 deposit $50 immediate cash back offer
