Nick Faldo Enters 2008 Hong Kong Open
After taking a year off of competitive events, Nick Faldo has entered into the 2008 Hong Kong Open. Faldo's season has been mild in terms of the action on the course, but as coach of the European Ryder Cup team, he has had a full schedule on his hands. The coach of the Ryder Cup team was heavily criticized in virtually every European media outlet for his questionable pairings and decision making in the European squads triumphant defeat to Paul Azinger's US squad. At 300 - 1 (paddypower.com), he's an interesting player to look at if you're betting on a long shot. The field in Hong Kong will definitely generate an interesting array of bets as gamblers will have the opportunity to take a long shot on someone such as Faldo, or lean towards two key favourites for the event: Jeev Milkha Singh (20 - 1 paddypower.com) and Miguel Angel Jimenez (16 -1 paddypower.com). Singh is a near shoe-in for the Asian Tour Order of Merit and is most recently coming off of a victory at the Singapore Open, putting him in the history books as the first single-year millionaire in the Asian Tours History. Jimenez has won this event twice, last year and in 2004, and has had a very constituent year topping the leader boards. CLICK HERE FOR FREE CASH! Another interesting addition to the event will be the huge drive of John Daly (150 - 1 paddypoker.com). He has had a horrible year in terms of winnings ($56,000) and you really never know what to expect when he hits the course. But in terms of an interesting gamble, he may be worth wagering on if you want a complete underdog that just may shock the field.
