NORWAY DOMINATES EARLY EUROVISION 2009 BETTING

Money is continuing to pour into the Eurovision 2009 betting markets at an impressive rate and even with this relative explosion of early wagering, Norway is continuing to hold its position as the outright favourite for Eurovision 2009. Currently listed in the neighborhood of 3.1 in what amounts to the ante-post market on Betfair, Norway's Alexander Rybak looks poised to seal worldwide stardom as the punters early favourite and by a considerable margin as well. The closest competition is Greece who are listed in the region of 6.8 and that margin looks be slimming as the results have been drawn for the first and second semi-finals, as well as the seeded positions for the finals. The UK and Spain are in particularly excellent positions. Malta, who has widely been tipped as a dark horse bet for the finals (currently listed at 16.0), also looks to have solid positioning. Betfair is offering up a number of different markets beyond simply outright wagering and with the draws just completed in Moscow, you can expect even more money to begin flowing into the Betfair markets. There is a lot of money to be made here and you can expect that the top 10 and top 4 markets will be especially profitable, especially if anybody is putting together any multiples or combination bets. Currently, the odds are looking like this: Norway (3.1), Greece (6.8), Turkey (14.5), Malta (16.0), United Kingdom (21.0), Sweden (21.0), Azerbaijan (22.0), Bosnia and Herzegovina, (36.0), Estonia (42.0), Spain (44.0), France (46.0), Iceland (46.0), Belgium (46.0), Montenegro (48.0), Russia (60.0), Finland (60.0), Denmark (75.0), Lithuania (80.0), Switzerland (90.0), Armenia (100.0), Ukraine (100.0), Portugal (120.0), Moldova (120.0), Serbia (130.0), Croatia (130.0), Ireland (140.0). There are several others listed at higher odds, so be sure to check out the markets, as the odds and prices are fluctuating every single day, especially in the longer-odds markets.
