NORWAY NOW LISTED AS 2009 EUROVISION FAVOURITE AHEAD OF GREECE
With the action for Eurovision 2009 betting heating up every single day, we've seen plenty of moving and shaking in the Betfair markets during the past week or so. Previously, Greece was considered the outright favourite to secure Eurovision 2009 glory, but it appears as though Norway has emerged as the lead nation by a fairly significant margin. Currently sitting at 3.25, Norway will be represented by Alexander Rybak singing his song "Fairytale". Sounds like a masculine experience all around. Greece are still definite contenders being in the 2nd place position listed now at a best price of 6.4. Malta are in third place, despite extremely disappointing numbers in the last three years and they are expecting big things from Chiara's "What If We" song. Malta are listed at 13.00.Turkey are just behind Malta at 14.5, just ahead of Russia's 15.5, with Serbia sitting at 16.5. The United Kingdom, who know a thing or two about pop music, are sitting at 17.00. There are a few extra markets on Betfair that haven't really heated up yet, and even though we all know that it's still early for 2009 Eurovision betting tips, we should be looking at the semi-final markets in order to ensure extreme value. We'll be looking at these as the action starts getting bigger at Betfair. But for now, remember that Norway is the out-and-out favourite.
