Norwich City vs Liverpool Preview

Champions-elect Liverpool head to Carrow Road in a top vs bottom clash in the English Premier League.

It was an easy day at the office for Jurgen Klopp’s men at the start of the season when they triumphed 4-1 at Anfield. Norwich no doubt will not be fussy at the prospect of facing Liverpool but with their Premier League future on the line, it is do or die for the Canaries.

Liverpool could extend their winning streak to a remarkable 17 consecutive games and could also open up a possible 25 point gap on the chasing pack.

Victory for the Reds will see them move 15 points away from lifting their first Premier League trophy in 30 years. Contrastingly, Norwich is teetering at the foot of the table with 18 points to their name and is still seven adrift if 19th-place with an incredible 55-point gap between top and bottom.

No team has been able to beat Liverpool this season and only one has taken points of them with Manchester United taking a point earlier this season at Old Trafford.

Liverpool are 3/1 odds to win by two goals and 11/10 to win with a clean sheet.

Trent Alexander Arnold has been the best right-back in the world over the past 18 months and against the minnows at Carrow Road he could run riot on the right side for the Reds.

Out of 41 games so far for the season, Liverpool has only failed to score twice and neither of those games was in the Premier League. In the light of that particular statistic, Liverpool has also proven they don’t have to be at the prolific best to get the job done.

Norwich however failed to score in their last fixture at Newcastle United and can only blame themselves as they squandered numerous opportunities against an under-par Magpies side. Norwich gaffer Daniel Farke should have a full complement of players while Klopp may have to deal with the unwelcome absences of Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri and James Milner.
