Norwich to win again
On Wednesday evening Dean Ashton scored an injury-time winner to keep the Canaries' survival hopes alive and cap a miserable week for Newcastle. The victory for Norwich was also splendid news for those following the readaBet advice to back the basement club to win at 6/4 against the Magpies. Having so handsomely rewarded us midweek, we shall once again be advising a decent stake on Norwich to make it ten points from twelve this weekend against Charlton Athletic. Incidentally, Norwich were 16/1 to avoid relegation with William Hill before they beat Manchester United and took seven points from three games - Hills now make the Canaries 11/2 to survive - the same odds as Crystal Palace. As is traditional for the small London club, the final weeks of the season are often one of disappointment and this year is proving no different. Two points from a possible fifteen have resulted in Charlton slipping to mid-table mediocratiy. Theoretically the Addicks could still snatch a UEFA qualification spot, but this doesn't look likely with a number of other clubs in the mix. In addition for what ever reason the Charlton players appear to have run out of steam. For Norwich the story couldn't be more different. It was only a few weeks ago the club look virtual certainities to make an immediate return to the division below. However, wins over Manchester United and Newcastle at home plus a battling draw at Crystal Palace now mean the Canaries could theoretically move out of the drop zone with a win on Saturday afternoon. Even if that doesn't happen, three points will only add to the growing belief that Norwich can perform one of the greatest escapes of all time.
