Having worked with Martin Scorsese on a number of excellent projects, former teenage heart-throb and now serious actor, Leonardo DiCaprio believes it is "a practical joke" that the director has not yet won an Academy Award. Not for the first time, Scorsese is fancied to take the Best Director gong, this time for The Departed, but the film-making legend isn't really arsed about the biggest award in film saying "I learnt a long time ago, you can't make a film to get the golden statue and if you try it doesn't work."
