PADDY POWER LATEST GRAND NATIONAL BETTING TIPS- PUNTERS FLOCKING TO L'AMI

If you've been keeping an eye on the ante-post market for the 2009 running of the John Smith's Grand National at Aintree, you've probably seen some things you've been expecting, but a handful that you never thought would happen. At the moment, we're continuing to see a significant amount of attention going towards My Will, the 7/1 favourite to win the Grand National. He's going to be partnered with top jock Ruby Walsh in an attempt to secure a Paul Nicholls Gold Cup/Grand National double. In my eyes, however, the biggest story of the last 24 hours has been the sudden rush towards L'ami for the outright victory at Grand National. It's a solid bet as well, and is one of the last true horses in contention that literally checks off all the boxes. He's got a good performance at Cheltenham under his belt, where he finished a close second to Garde Champetre in the Cross Country Chase. He's got a very competitive price at 25/1 with Paddy Power and he's got proven form over long distances. The Grand National is a gruelling race and the Aintree course doesn't make it easy for unproven horses. This is a chance for L'Ami to step up and take his rightful place in the upper echelons of English racing. I expect him to have McNamara on top even though he has a history with Tony McCoy. McCoy is still yet to announce his mount for the 2009 Grand National and if he manages to select L'Ami (and it seems as though the punters think he will) then you will see his price likely cut nearly in half. L'Ami has been drifting significantly on Paddy Power over the last few days and weeks and he was originally listed at 20/1 then dropped to 14/1, back up to 20/1 and is now available at an excellent 25/1. His competence over distance, his excellent form and the question marks remaining over A P McCoy really make L'Ami an exciting each-way proposition. If you're betting against the favourites and are looking to score a big one at the 2009 Grand National- look no further than L'Ami.
