PADDY POWER REFUND LOSING BETS ON CHELSEA VS BARCELONA
After seeing one of the most disgraceful scenes we've witnessed on a football field for sometime (and I'm not talking about Didier Drogba), Paddy Power have once again gone above and beyond the call of duty and refunded all losing bets on Chelsea to win the match and Chelsea to qualify.
Surely the dodgy refereeing decisions were meant to please the higher-ups at UEFA and ensure that we wouldn't be privy to another all-English final. Even the Barcelona players admitted to handballs and they seemed just as baffled as anybody why the referee allowed them so much freedom.
This is just another example of how Paddy Power always insists on paying out on the right result and even though they had another money-back special on the match, they've done the right thing yet again.
The big question now is what type of money-back specials will be we be seeing on the Champions League Final itself? Currently, Paddy are running a survey on their main page asking their dedicated corps of punters what their favourite types of money-back specials are. While the typical x-player to score last is a popular option, the biggest piece of the pie are people who favour a refund on matches with a goal in the 85th minute or later. This definitely helps take the pressure off those final few minutes and you can use that to leverage a lot of your in-play wagering as well.
I'm very much anticipating seeing what type of specials and promos they've got on the 2009 Champions League Final- I'm going to be backing Manchester United and praying we don't see another shambolic refereeing display.
