PADDY POWER TIPS FOR TOTESPORT BOWL AT AINTREE GRAND NATIONAL
Having won the Cheltenham Gold Cup last year and remaining winless since then, you really get the feeling that Denman has his name stamped all over the totesport bowl which kicks off on Thursday. He performed admirably in this year's Gold Cup, losing out to stablemate Kauto Star, and he is currently listed as the out-and-out favourite to secure totesport bowl glory. As it currently stands, you can back Denman at 10/11 at Paddy Power, and while it may not be the biggest value bet, I think he'll be an integral part of a number of forecast and tricasts. Personally, I think this one comes down to a duel between Denman and Exotic Dancer who will have the bonus of A P McCoy on top. Exotic Dancer is listed at 3/1 and is solid value in my book. Ruby Walsh will be piloting Star De Mohaison, who certainly knows how to win a race, but hasn't been in the best of form as of late. Denman and Star De Mohaison are stablemates and I can see a Paul Nicholls 1-2 as a very distinct possibility, especially if Exotic Dancer doesn't start strongly. Air Force One is another quality runner and at 22/1 is extremely juicy. I think he's worth an each-way if you think Denman might blow it. If you're really looking to go crazy on this one, why not have a bash on Snoopy Loopy? He's got a victory in grade 1 racing this year, having secured the Betfair Chase back in November when he bested Tamarinbleu. He is at an incredible 100/1 and could certainly be the story of the day if he shows up with his best stuff. The totesport bowl is easily one of the highest quality races at the John Smith's Grand National and I think an epic payday is out there for somebody.
