PDC WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL PHIL TAYLOR VS SIMON WHITLOCK

We're almost down to the big moment here on the penultimate day of the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship and, unsurprisingly, we have Phil "The Power" Taylor dominating the betting markets for this widely-anticipated final fixture. It would be a legendary victory for Simon Whitlock and if you fancy him to upset The Power, then you're looking at a truly tremendous payday.
The match begins promptly at 20:10.
As it currently stands, 888sports has listed Phil Taylor's odds to win at a very slim 1/9 with Whitlock paying out at a 5/1 price. If you're looking to pile your money onto Taylor, your value is sitting in the correct score betting market. The bookies expect it to be sharply in favour of Taylor and they can't seem to agree on a concrete favourite for a price. A 7-0 blowout pays 7/2 while 7-1 pays out at 3/1. A 7-2 victory garners a 7/2 price and then you'll notice the odds tak ea sharp uptick for a 7-3 win at 11/2. 7-4 pays out at 8/1 while 7-5 and 7-6 are 12/1 and 16/1, respectively. The closer the contest gets, the higher you're getting paid out.
Simon Whitlock's odds to win 7-0 are a massive 1000/1 while the most reasonable option, according to the bookmakers is a 7-6 win at 16/1. A 7-5 win is 25/1 while 7-4 pays out at around 33/1.
Taylor is favoured to get more 180s and he is 4/5 to do so. Whitlock trades at 5/4 while a drawn 180s market pays out at 15/2. Taylor to score the highest checkout is a very likely outcome and he's available at 4/7 to do so with Whitlock listed at a 5/4 price. The over/under on the highest checkout is trading at 138.5.
You can also wager on total match 180s with the over/under at 22.5.
Phil Taylor is in such dominating form right now that it's more or less impossible to bet against him. You can hedge any correct score bet on Taylor with a mere outright victory for Whitlock. I wouldn't advise throwing your money away though and I like Taylor in a 7-3 win at 11/2.
