PHIL TAYLOR INTO NEXT ROUND IN THE GRAND SLAM OF DARTS
After Phil "The Power" Taylor triumphed over Vincent van der Voort yesterday, he propelled himself into the 2nd round of the Partypoker Grand Slam of Darts. A number of top players are in action today and you'll find the likes of Raymond van Barneveld taking on Gary Mawson and Adrian Lewis facing off with James Wade. KING/MCDINEWhile Adrian Lewis may be a slight longshot for his match-up with Wade, I'm confident that Lewis has what it takes. Back him to win at 6/5. Tomorrow's action will see Mervyn King come up against Kevin McDine and I'm going to have to back King in that one, you can also take a -2.5 handicap bet which places King at evens if you're looking for a bit more value. WHITLOCK/JENKINSA similar scenario is set up for the Simon Whitlock/Andy Jenkins clash, and you can back Whitlock at -2.5 to win at 10/11 odds. All in all, things are shaping up for a dramatic 2nd round of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton. I still have to back The Power as the ultimate winner going into the final round as I believe his experience and poise on the big stage will continue to set an example for world-class darts players everywhere.
