PHIL TAYLOR VS BARRIE BATES AND 2010 WORLD MATCHPLAY DARTS BETTING TIPS
There is another solid slate of darts action kicking off at the 2010 World Matchplay Championships. We've got the biggest name in darts set to go today and Phil Taylor is, as usual, a massive favourite to get the victory over Barrie Bates. Some decent accumulator selections are available here and I actually find that today's fixtures are a bit more open than over past days, the Taylor match excluded.
Colin Lloyd vs Kevin Painter is the opening fixture and there is nothing between these two competitors with William Hill pricing them both at 5/6 margins. You can back Colin Lloyd (-2.5) on the handicap and cash in a 6/4 while Kevin Painter (+2.5) trades at a 1/2 margin. I think in close matches like this, the "any other score" selection in the correct score margins is probably your best bet. this one could be close and we could certainly see a winning score of higher than 10.
Mark Walsh vs Mark Dudbridge is another interesting one and Walsh gets the vote here from the bookmakers. You'll find him priced at 8/15 while Dudbridge can be backed at an 11/8 margin. I really like Walsh on a (-2.5) handicap at a solid price of even money.
Phil Taylor vs Barrie Bates has Taylor listed at a microscopic 1/50 price while Bates can be backed at 12/1 odds. Taylor on a massive (-6.5) handicap pays 5/6 but I'm going to have a bash on the correct score margin here. I think Taylor 10-3 at a 5/1 price is more than plausible and I may hedge that with a Taylor 10-6 at a 13/2 listing.
Paul Nicholson vs Steve Beaton is the final fixture of the evening and you'll find Nicholson the distinct favourite at a 4/9 price. Steve Beaton is trading at 13/8.
You can back all four favourites and cash in a 7/2 price with William Hill and that's actually a solid piece of business as the four favourites on a simple accumulator only pays 3.14. This is another enhanced multiple from William Hill and that's what makes them a premier destination for darts betting.
