PHIL TAYLOR VS JAMES WADE PREMIER LEAGUE OF DARTS LATEST ODDS

These two players return to the venue where James Wade became the first player to beat Phil Taylor twice in the Premier League and they couldn’t have come into the game in more contrasting levels of form. Taylor has two victories from two whilst Wade has lost both of his opening games in defence of his Premier League crown. Logic suggests that Taylor will run away with this one, but there’s a lot more to this match than first meets the eye.
First of all Wade has that aforementioned record over ‘The Power’ which should not be underestimated. Secondly, Wade is one of few players who is not daunted by the prospect of playing the 15-time World Champion and that mental edge that Taylor has over the majority of other darts players is not a factor here. Although rhyme, reason andlogic suggest Taylor will win this cosily, given Wade’s record in this competition and the need for him to get at least a point on the board I will be laying Taylor at the 1.35 (1/3) on offer at Betfair.
If Wade is to get anything from this match then he will need to improve his finishing, something which he is capable of doing but not something that you can rely on him for. Taylor also knows that he will have to take out some big numbers if he is to get revenge on ‘The Machine’ and that will force him to also raise his game. Therefore we can expect some fireworks tonight and that means big finishes and plenty of maximums. Wade manages to hit plenty of 180’s even in defeat so I like the look of the 2.5 (6/4) on him to get the most maximums and I also fancy the over 7.5 180’s at 2.1 (11/10), both with Betfair.
