PLENTY OF ACTION IN SATURDAY'S PREMIER LEAGUE CARD
We’ve got a supremely-interesting slate of Premier League action ahead of us on Saturday and there are, without a doubt, some first-rate money-making opportunities available. We’ll be examining each fixture and giving a bit of an indication of how we expect things to shape up.
Spurs will be buoyed by their late flourish against Inter Milan in the midweek Champions League contest. Harry Redknapp’s side are the favourites against Everton and they’re hovering around even money with most major bookmakers. The Toffees could certainly use a victory but they’ve been a bit all over the place this season- making them a tricky wager to bank on. Both sides are inconsistent but you can see Gareth Bale taking some money today.
Birmingham will be the solid favourites heading up against Blackpool but you never know what to expect against the visiting side- Alex McLeish’s team trade at 10/11 while Blackpool can be backed at 3/1. That’s a quality price on Blackpool- who will fancy their chances here.
Chelsea vs Wolves probably won’t turn out to be a massive surprise with Wolves listed at a lengthy 20/1 listing. The Blues are extremely short-priced for this one and one wonders whether Mick McCarthy will actually line-up a full-strength side.
Sunderland vs Aston Villa is looking like one of the closer matches of the weekend. You’ll find that Sunderland are getting a slim edge over a Villa side that could get some real momentum out of their last 0-0 draw with Chelsea. The draw might be a safe bet here, but if Sunderland score first then Villa might struggle.
West Brom are slim favourites to dispose of Fulham and, again, this looks like a tight contest. Fulham are decent value at 12/5 for the away win while West Brom are sitting at 23/20.
West Ham vs Newcastle is a tricky one but you can count on the Hammers giving 110% in this fixture. Newcastle are playing some good stuff but you reckon they may be due for a loss here. West Ham definitely need the points so they’ll likely be playing with a bit more verve.
