PORTSMOUTH BETTING TIPS 2009/10 PREMIER LEAGUE
Pompey seem to be in a bit of a precarious position these days with the ownership of the club in a relatively constant state of flux over the past few years. Regardless, they're a solid club with a good fanbase that add a considerable amount to the Premiersip. The bookies, however, are predicting them to struggle this year. They managed to finish 14th last year, just safe enough I suppose. Should they finish higher, you're looking at a 7/2 price. Another 14th placed finish will pay out 6/1, but anywheres lower than that you're looking at 1/3. Portsmouth don't look candidates for the drop, but they will be down there. They pay out a mere 2/5 should they stay up, while they are listed at a 6/4 price to be relegated. Should Pompey be able to pull off a top-half finish, you're looking at a tidy payday of 10/3. Solid odds, especially if Pompey really manage to click. They are a mere 1/5 to finish anywhere in the bottom half. With the odds looking strong that Wolves will do well this year, Pompey need an existing Premiership club to hit the drop and save their spot in the Prem. Hull City is obviously the prime candidate at the moment. This one really could be a tough year for the Premiership's only representative from the south coast. Papa Bouba Diop is a solid central midfielders and they will need Niko Kranjcar to step up and have another rsolid season. They've added Frederic Piquionne from Lyon and he should be good for ten goals or so. David James will be expected to dominate between the sticks this time as well.
