PREMIER LEAGUE AND CARLING CUP BETTING TIPS
Another exciting weekend of English football is upon us and there are a number of excellent money-making opportunities. While many of us are anxiously awaiting the Carling Cup Final, there remains quite a few interesting match-ups happening, especially on Saturday with three of the big four all competing. Everton vs West Brom: The Toffees are playing well and should be able to roll over West Brom with relative ease. I could see David Moyes resting a few players here and giving some reserves a much needed call-up. I think West Brom will shoot for the draw, but Everton are usually just too good. 2-0 pays 7.00 @ Ladbrokes. Arsenal vs Fulham: Arsenal are really in bad shape right now and despite a Champions League victory over a sub-par Roma side in mid-week, they are in all kinds of trouble in the league. Fulham have been a surprise this season and I am backing another 0-0 draw which pays 11.00 @ Ladbrokes. Chelsea vs Wigan: Chelsea look solid under Guus Hiddink, but Wigan have always been a bit of a bogey team for the Blues. I'm anticipating a contest here and I think this one could be very interesting come the last 15 minutes. Either way, I'm backing Chelsea to win 2-1 which pays 8.00 @ Ladbrokes. Middlesbrough vs Liverpool: Liverpool were in real rough shape for a bit, but the midweek bounce from beating a team that called itself Real Madrid should be felt here. Middlesbrough actually put goals into a net in mid-week and I think they might be more likely to score here. Liverpool aren't heavily favoured here and a 1-1 draw sounds about right to me. It pays 6.5 @ Ladbrokes. Hull vs Blackburn: This one is a total toss-up with virtually identical odds and maybe a little bit of advantage from the bookmaker for Hull City. I think a 1-1 draw is about right here, Hull will ask questions of Blackburn and will likely score first, but I can see Roque Santa Cruz popping up when he's needed- again. 1-1 draw pays 6.5 @ Ladbrokes. West Ham vs Manchester City: You never know which Manchester City team will turn up for a match and I think West Ham have achieved a certain solidity under Gianfranco Zola. I think the Hammers will make a statement here and I think Diego Tristan will factor more heavily into this match than others. 1-0 to West Ham pays 8.00 @ Ladbrokes. Bolton vs Newcastle: This one could be a dour affair and I'm wondering whether the fans will be particularly excited about this one. Newcastle have been flattering to deceive and look like they're still a bit out of sorts. I like a 0-0 draw in this one which pays 9.00 @ Ladbrokes. Aston Villa vs Stoke City: Villa are heavy favourites, but Stoke might think they can get something from this game if things go their way. The bookmakers are tilting towards Villa but the margin isn't expected to be too much. I'm backing 2-0 to the Villains which pays 7.00 @ Ladbrokes. Manchester United vs Tottenham: United are expected to demolish Spurs who will be up for this one. But I just wonder whether Harry Redknapp's men can cope with United's threat over a full 90 minutes. This one could very well be a draw at half-time, but I think Wayne Rooney will stamp his mark all over this match. Anderson is expected to be back out and should be orchestrating things through the midfield along with Michael Carrick. I can see United scoring three here and they will likely keep a clean sheet.
