PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS FOR SATURDAY OCTOBER 16

We've got more than a few solid fixtures ahead of us today and there are some excellent money-making opportunities available for Premier League punters. 

While most fans of the English game are anxious for the Merseyside derby on Sunday, you can cobble together a few great bets on Saturday to give you a bit more to work with if you feel like cashing a big ticket on Sunday. 

Arsenal vs Birmingham is harshly-tilted in favour of the Gunners and you can back the London side at a 1/3 price tag while Birmingham are sitting at 9/1. The draw pays out at 15/4 but you reckon Alex McLeish's side will need to play a nearly perfect match. Arsenal all the way here. 

A London derby between Fulham and Spurs looks like a near toss-up with William Hill pricing Spurs at 8/5 and Fulham at 9/5. Spurs have been blowing hot and cold this season and are a tricky side to wager on. The draw could be the best bet here and 21/10 sounds about right. 

Manchester United vs West Brom could be more difficult than the Red Devils might assume but they should get the result. They're big favourites at 2/7 while Brum trade at 10/1. The 4/1 draw might be a popular wager with the neutrals but we'll side with United- though the scoreline might be a close one. 

Newcastle vs Wigan is looking like a victory for the Magpies, who trade at 17/20. The draw is sitting at 23/10 while the Latics are priced at 7/2. Newcastle aren't the best value here and Wigan have been known to spring a few surprises. Avoid this one on your accumulators. 

Wolves are solid favourites to beat West Ham, who are the 11/5 underdogs. Mick McCarthy's men are listed at 13/10 for the victory while the draw sits at 21/10. This is a must-win fixture for both sides and that means they may just cancel each other out. 

Aston Villa vs Chelsea is a chance to lock in a better than average price on the Blues, with William Hill pricing them at 4/5 for the away win at Villa Park. The hosts are listed at 18/5 and they will need to play a near perfect match here. That's a great bet on Chelsea at a 4/5 listing.
