PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS SEMI FINAL WHITLOCK VS WADE BETTING TIPS

This is the semi-final which darts fans will be most looking forward to; the reigning champion against the man expected to challenge Phil Taylor’s dominance in a repeat of that epic World Championship quarter-final clash.
After slow starts to the Premier League season both players picked up toward the latter end of the group stages and are nearing the top of their game going into this one – although it is probably fair to say that Simon Whitlock is closer to his A-game at present. It took James Wade until week six before he got a win on the board and that was with an 8-4 victory over his semi-final opponent, Whitlock then repaid the compliment by beating Wade 8-4 in week 13.
With a win a piece in the head-to-heads and just two points separating them in the final league standings it is fair to say that these are two fairly evenly matched players. The Wizard’s better form over recent weeks makes him a justifiable favourite but at odds of 1.7 (4/6) on Betfair, he may be a touch too short.
Seeing Wade available to back at odds of 2.4 (7/5) immediately jumps out as a value bet, especially for those who like to trade in-play on Betfair. If only one of these two players are on top of their game then we could see a one sided affair, but if both come out punching at their peak then it is likely to be nip and tuck all the way making the bigger price on The Machine the much better value.
When these two met in that classic quarter-final at Alexandra Palace there were 24 180’s hit during the game. Although that was over a much longer format, a similar standard here would see the number of maximums racking up and make the 11/10 on over 7.5 180’s look a steal with Boylesports.
Whoever wins this match will hope that they can carry that winning form into the final as they will certainly need to be on top of their game if they are to get anywhere near Taylor. Having already beaten The Power twice in the Premier League’s history Wade will believe that he is best equipped to do so, and Whitlock knows that at his best he is a match for anyone.
